Overview
Balkans, Caucasus, Levant, Burma, Horn of Africa, Ukraine.
All embattled ethnic regions.
One such conflict stands out. Nagorno-Karabakh was/is a disputed province between Armenia and Azerbaijain. And in this remote corner of the world, a supernatural intervention took place. Stalin swooped in and froze the beef, mid-swing. Recall the agonized facial expression of the frozen Han Solo.
And then, just as fast, the Soviets collapsed. The beef thawed, its red blood staining the soil once again.
We're fascinated by the mechanics of this Caucasian Winter. In an increasingly fraught world, should we freeze more and fight less?
Discussion
We're planning a series of interviews, podcast episodes,
X spaces, informal chats and other fora on this topic. Stay tuned.
Book
After discussions are held, critically showcasing opposing and adverse viewpoints,
then we can consider bookwriting. On the strength of the above discourse, if we write, we hope to do the topic justice.
